This week, another good news from Google. It introduces ‘HINDI’ the National language of India, with it’s popular version ‘Google Translation’ site ‘www.google.com/translate_t‘. On last Monday, Google officially announced an online platform that translates between Hindi and English.
Rahul Roy Chowdhury, Product Manager, Google India, says “There is a need to reach people who may be English-familiar, but Indic language proficient, We’ll work to make Google Translate in Hindi even better”.
The software displays very accurate results for small and simple senetences but sometimes it shows very funny results on complex sentenses, idiomatic and slang words.
Still, the software operates on the principle of “More you use, the better it can get” because users can offer alternatives and press a button that could make the computer “learn” and perfect usage over time.
